What Working With Groupe PL Looks Like From First Call to Final Cleanup
At Groupe PL Landscaping, we don’t just build landscapes. We design, plan, and execute outdoor spaces that are meant to last and function properly for years.
We’ve refined a clear, structured process that keeps projects organized, timelines predictable, and communication simple. It’s one of the biggest reasons our clients feel confident from day one.
Here’s what working with us looks like.
1. Initial Phone Call or Online Request
It starts with a quick conversation.
We discuss your goals, your space, rough budget range, and timeline. This allows us to understand your expectations and determine if we’re a good fit.
If it makes sense to move forward, we schedule an on-site meeting.
2. On-Site Meeting & Project Discussion
One of our project managers meets you at your property to:
Walk the space
Take measurements
Identify drainage considerations
Discuss layout, flow, and functionality
Review material preferences and style
We focus heavily on practical design. How you’ll move through the space. How water will behave. How the project will age over time. Not just how it looks on day one.
3. Quote Sent + Ideas Shared
After the visit, we prepare a detailed quote outlining:
Scope of work
Materials
Project structure
Estimated timeline
We often include layout ideas or concept suggestions to spark discussion and help visualize possibilities.
4. Modifications & Refinements
Most projects evolve.
You may want to tweak materials, adjust layouts, add features, or simplify certain elements. We revise the quote as needed until everything is aligned.
For larger or more technical projects, we can provide:
2D layout plans
3D renderings
These help eliminate guesswork and ensure everyone is on the same page before construction begins.
5. Final Proposal & 10% Deposit
Once the scope and general design are aligned, we send the final proposal.
To secure your spot in our schedule, a 10% deposit is required.
Your project now officially moves from sales to production.
6. Supplier Yard Visit (When Applicable)
For projects involving pavers, slabs, walls, or specialty materials, we can meet you at one of our trusted suppliers’ yards.
This allows you to:
See materials in person
Compare colors and textures
Confirm final selections with confidence
It’s one of the best ways to avoid surprises and make sure you love what’s being installed.
7. Sales → Production Handoff
Your project is transferred internally to our operations team.
An operations director reviews:
Scope of work
Plans and renderings
Special details
Timeline and logistics
Your project is then scheduled and prepared for execution.
8. Pre-Project Site Check & Crew Briefing
Before work begins, we conduct a site check and review the project with the production team.
This ensures:
Crews understand the design
Access points and staging areas are confirmed
Materials and equipment are planned
Expectations are clear
This step is key to smooth starts and efficient builds.
9. Project Begins + 30% Payment
When your project starts, a 30% payment is collected.
Construction begins.
10. How We Build Every Project
Most landscaping projects follow a proven sequence:
Demolition & Excavation
Existing structures, surfaces, and soils are removed as required. Proper excavation depths are achieved.
Base Preparation, Backfill & Grading
Strong foundations using quality base materials and proper compaction. Grades are shaped to promote correct drainage away from structures.
Paving, Walls & Structures
Patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and hardscape elements are installed.
We always start from the furthest point of the yard and work our way toward the front. This protects finished work and keeps the site organized.
Conduits & Sleeves
Conduits for lighting, irrigation, and future services are installed as we go.
Irrigation & Lighting
Systems are installed, tested, and adjusted.
Sod & Planting
Final soil prep, sod installation, planting, and finishing touches.
11. Mid-Project Payment (30%)
At approximately the halfway point, a 30% progress payment is collected.
12. Final Review & Final 30% Payment
Once construction is complete:
We walk the project with you
Address any minor adjustments
Confirm everything meets expectations
After approval, the remaining 30% payment is collected.
13. Full Cleanup & Site Reset
We finish with a full job site cleanup:
Remove debris
Sweep and rinse surfaces
Leave your property clean and ready to enjoy
Then we’re out.
The Result
A durable, well-built outdoor space delivered through a clear, professional process.
Strong planning.Proper construction.Clear communication.
That’s the PL Experience.
